Well Today is a great day to die... well at least that's how I felt after training today... was a good hard basic work out, working on basic Punch's and kicks... fresh air strikes and combinations, then pad work. Good way to burn some calories and build up a sweat....
I love Evade and I love the instructors... Amanda took today's class. After training I went and found Dave Breed and asked about sparing, as I have a fight coming up. He sadly let me know that there is no sparring class at Evade anymore :o( However, they do spar in the Masters class and its about time I came along... So Wednesday, will see me turning up to a new class, full of more experienced people. Although I know some of them and have trained with most, I am quite nervous. And Excited.
Eating yesterday went really well, I didn't cheat, but did eat quite late. I have to stop eating at 9pm, as this does me (or anyone else) any favours what so ever. Portion control is in hand, and weight is striping off, although the scales only show a small loss each week (which all add up to a huge loss) the inch's are coming off. People are commenting again on the fact that I am once again losing weight. Which makes me feel good.... Couple with that with the sunshine and heat... the good news from Evade... and everything else wonderful in life.... And my world is pretty good today :o)

I hope all of yours is as wonderfull as well....

Hi folks, went through my first training session today in quite a while.... Amanda took the class and was kind and easy on me..... not..... lol. She was great and the work out was hard, fast and furious for a good 40 minutes, before moving into self defence stuff. I do feel achy and tired, but is to be expected with the 5 week lay off. I'm just glad to be back at it, although I know I probably wont feel like that tomorrow!!!

Its amazing how fast your fitness levels drop, I am got frustrated with myself as my hands wouldn't move fast enough and I was fatiguing earlier than I would have normally. Thankfully its just a blip and I can get it all back in time.

Looking forward to a hot bath when I get in from work. Also I have my favourite meal tonight, chicken breast, new potatoes, sweetcorn, cauliflower and broccoli..... yum yum :o)

Seeing that has made me smile as less than 2 years ago I was a dedicated veggie dodger.... strange how things change....

Hello one and all..... So I said I was going to get back on my diet and I didn't.... I know I know.... However, today is the day!!! Have weighed myself, so not good as I am back up to 21 stone 10 or 304lbs..... that's so not good..... and I have lost a lot of muscle mass as well due to the inability to train.

So today after the mental beating up of myself over the past 5 weeks, is the day it all stops and starts heading in the right direction.....
I am still on tramadol, ibuprofen, metabyle something or other and Amatriptalene, all to help control the pain I am suffering, which to be fair effects my brain somewhat and makes concentrating difficult. However I have had enough of blaming this for my problems and having read through Peaceful warrior again and readjusted my focus, and got myself psychologically ready, it is time to get it on!!!!
So how am I going to do this? Well for my diet I am using my trusted diet plate a simple portion control system. Its so easy.... I know I have said all this before but it really is.
How the plate works is simple.... here is a brief guide....

First use the guidelines on your plate to measure out your protein (in this case chicken) and your starch's and carbs (in this case potatoes sweetcorn and sugar snaps). Makes sure they do not go over the line, which they will do if you try to pile them too high!!!! Then fill the rest of your plate up with your 'free' vegetables. In this case its a small salad, carrots, green beans and courgettes.... as you can see from this picture it is an amazingly full plate of food.
Its that simple......
Along side this diet, I am going back to training at Evade a great martial art school with some very supportive staff (David Breed, Lee Price, Tom Cox and Amanda Quansah as well as some other amazing members of staff) who work with you understanding your personal needs and help motivate and push you to achieve everything you can be. As well as training at Evade I am beginning to train again with Steve Primrose the current World Champion. Which is both an honor and a privilege, as well as dam hard work as he keeps beasting me and pushing me harder and harder. So watch for some fantastic weight loss results over these next two weeks as my body gets used to training again and dieting.... After these first couple of weeks I expect it to slow down to a steady weight loss of between 4 and 5lbs per week depending on how well I stick to using the diet plate system and how hard I train.
Wish me luck folks.....
