Hello, once again I have left a gap in my blogging life... apologies...

Work is beginning to look up with a couple of new contracts and new customers coming in and making enquiries, so look out for more info on our up and coming new builds and projects, its quite an exciting time.

The latest project I have been involved in, MyGift, is now live although we are still tinkering with it a little bit so please feel free to go and have a look and let us know (constructively) your points of view and criticisms.

We got involved with MyGift because we believed in there product, MyGift is unlike any other online fundraising and donation services with commercial interests or links, such as Just Giving, Be My Charity and Virgin Money Giving. MyGift offers free on site advertising to charities and there will be no set up or admin charges; meaning millions of pounds worth of charges to charities could be avoided.

Here are the facts:

1 The Charity Service is a registered charity. All My Gift transactions are regulated by Charity regulations. UK law forbids distributions anyone except bona fide charities; thus all funds raised are to be retained in the charity sector

2 We are a true not-for-profit charitable operation, as such our policy states that we shall not use charities to promote a commercial brand or business

3 Our management and control are completely within the UK

4 We reclaim tax in the same way as others and pass it on to our beneficiary charities within the first 10 working days of every month

5 We provide the beneficiary charities with a report of donors except where anonymity is requested

6 Remittances advices to charities are free and sent electronically, before the time of remittance

7 We offer free site advertising to all UK registered charities

8 We are transparent - our only charge is 5% to donors to cover running costs - no charges are made to charities

9 We are not new to charitable distribution; we have been distributing funds to charities for nearly 43 years in this and our previous existence and for more than a decade, those distributions have exceeded £1m per year

It is a really worthwhile project to be involved with and I hope everyone goes and checks it out!

On a personal note, life is OK. Started exercising and dieting again this week after a long lay off. I have put some weight back on since November and I really do not like my body at the moment, but rather than do something about it I sat around feeling down and eating more because of my mood... fortunately a well timed intervention by a mate, has helped me see the errors of this... I am looking into my new training regime properly this weekend and will publish my new program next week. A few early starts are going to be in there I feel so that I can get around the amount of hours I have to do.
Since stopping training and putting weight back on I have noticed several things;
Firstly, I am not sleeping properly again, now this could be stress but I don't feel overly stressed, so I am putting it down to the change in exercise routine. Secondly, Putting weight back on is amazingly easy, OK so everyone knows that, however, the weight goes back on your body in a different way, which is interesting as my body shape has changed. :o(
Thirdly, after going for a run on Monday, my body has still not recovered with an amazing amount of lactic acid building up in the leg muscles, in November I could run (a lot further) and recover a lot quicker, with next to no lactic acid build up.

So yes there is a fair way to go on this journey, and it is going to be painful to start with (again) and I am not looking forward to the pain, although I am looking forward to being able to fit back into my clothes properly again and being fit enough to fight.

So, diet and nutrition is being taken care of by The Diet Plate again, one day I will learn to stop putting it away, D'oh. and as always will let you know how it is going.

Stay safe and Be Well...
